Introduction to StoryMaps (GIS103) In-Person
Learn to use Story Maps, an easy-to-use story telling tool which allows you to weave a compelling narrative and share it with your audience. This training does not require knowledge or use of GIS software.
What: Over 4 x 2-hour sessions, you will use well-designed layouts to develop a Story Map based on your own research. You will explore the potential of Story Maps for research communication, design and assemble your story; use Express Maps to provide spatial context for your research; and learn to promote your Story Map once it is created. This will give you an effective and visually appealing way to communicate your research impact to governments, funding agencies, and the public.

Participation in all four of these sessions is required for this course.
