Gale Primary Sources Training - Decolonization: Politics and Independence in Former Colonial and Commonwealth Territories Online
Join us for an in-depth look at some of the extensive primary source material available to you through ANU Library. To be offered over several months, this series of training sessions will be provided by Gale's Academic Engagement Manager, Damian Almeida, and each session will focus on a particular resource from the Gale catalogue.
In this session we will look at Decolonization: Politics and Independence in Former Colonial and Commonwealth Territories. This resource brings together material from within former British colonies and Commonwealth nations, alongside some from former French and Portuguese territories, to provide valuable primary source material created for local audiences by local actors during a period of enormous global change. The range of materials from across the world covers economic and social development, domestic politics and international relations, media and culture, labor history and strikes, civil rights movements and moments of political violence, alongside the constitutions and manifestos of many different parties and groups.
This is an online session provided over Zoom. Please register using the button below, and you will be sent the Zoom link.
If you have any specific questions about this resource that you would like the trainer to address during this session, please send them to Damian.Almeida@cengage.com
